I've moved most of her larger toys in the playroom and I'm waiting on one more thing to be delivered, so there will be a part 4. I received, the other day, the most exciting part of the room. Only exciting because it's something I so would've wanted in my playroom (if I had one. I did not) as a little girl.
The most darling vinyl house, white picket fence (which is practically invisible in this picture) and butterflies (which I have used to cover the holes from our degrees when it was serving as an office).
I love vinyl because even though it is sadly not reusable, it comes off without needing to repaint (read: selling house down the line).
The artwork on the left was all digitally created by me. Although you can read, one of the pieces matches the pattern of the foam tiles we put down here. The middle piece is a chevron print with her name (which will come into play later) and a little birdie. The last piece which is hidden in this picture is just a flower.
You can give me as much credit as you'd like for the placement of the frames, but really I dropped the level behind the futon and thus decided to make it look like unevenness was supposed to happen. We'll also pretend the house is level. Whatever.
Part 4, the final installment (probably), will come in a couple of weeks. Maybe I'll even show you a transformation of a semi-reclaimed living room between now and then :) Pillow covers to match the new rug… baby steps, baby steps.
PS Hailey is practically 15 months old. Craziness.
